I don't agree with the short sighted arguement. I think it has more to do with some people can't afford the current health care so what are they supposed to do? Some people (the rich) are not paying the same percentage of taxes as most do. That just doesn't seem right to me. And I am all in favor of helping people who need help (i.e. food stamps whatever) for a short term. I think everyone needs help once in a while.
