Same here, mine started bumping it by the starter, sure gets a paniky feeling when it does . grabbed the rod behing the IP and pulled up quickly, but not before oil started to run down the side of the engine.

PS pump works juuust fine.

there was a thread couple weeks ago where a guy had the bolts brake off for the crank pully. one thing brought up was if the belts are too tight it can put too much strain on the bolts, Alternator bearings, PS shaft etc...

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
