I never tried it..........the back door of the headlight hits the airflow meter, so the entire meter must be removed.
The rear cover opens fine, but to remove the cover from the tab at the bottom requires the cover to open rearward by a considerable amount.
Could be the issue is that these headlights are not OEM.
