Changing oil pan gasket -M104

I have a leaking oil pan and the dealer has a tech service bulletin out that says I should seal the rear part of the gasket as there is not enough surface pressure. http://www.alldatadiy.com/alldata/AFI~V15328927~C45398~R0~OD~N/0/34870055/56621118/136559444/136559446/34853741/100411974/34853743/34872058/34855607/120882205

Car is a W124 M104 300CE---

Should this be done? They recommend a loctite 5900 sealant.

Is there a better alternative?

Is there a NM for the bolts on the pan?
