My first check would be the TSB Bulletin concerning oil level...they want the oil level on that chassis to NEVER be past the 1/2 way Mark with engine up to temp and a 2 min wait for the check.
There was a capacity change on that version to lessen cap by 1/2 ltr.

The skip is most likely the plug connectors under the coils.
