Some parts of various mammals do not contain the immunogenic (?) elements that others do, in other words, they are basically compatible . By analogy it kinda works the same way where you could (in a pinch) use pieces of galvanized pipe instead of copper tubing in the engine heater core or oil cooler, if that's all you had. They are not an ideal fit but they will work.
Compare that to using vacuum hose of the right diameter in place of brake hose. The hydraulic pressure will cause an immediate bursting.
Or neoprene hose for injector overflow. Sooner or later the neoprene will be attacked by the diesel fuel, in the same way that white blood cells and bateriostatic antibiotics surround and dismember hostile organisms.
Some stuff works and other stuff doesn't.
That's the short course. Test on Tuesday.
