...couldn't agree more in remembering our unsung Hero's out there, past and present!
I have the special opportunity of working and supporting our US Army troops day in and day out at Ft. Lewis, WA. Most of the guys I work with, which amounts to a Brigade size element, will be deployed come January, most likely to Afganistan to replace the 10th Mountain from Ft. Drum, NY.
Knowing that these guys will be on the front lines, so to speak, gives me a thankful feeling that I don't have to be there anymore. Some of these men and women are fresh out of High School, they look and act so young. What they have ahead of them will help them grow up very quickly, some more than others.
Most of the time, we deal with life on a day by day basis and never give the thought to the Men and Women who wear the Uniform, especially Oversees, that's a shame. This is the only day we celebrate their memory, so if anyone out there has the opportunity to to shake a Veterans, Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, or Marines hand, do so at your first chance. You won't believe the appreciation you receive back!
Enough of the soapbox speel, God Bless America.
And God Bless our Servicemen and Servicewomen!
