Thanks, MBDOC. I think I found the problem-child.
This car spent a good part of it's life in a southern climate. I found a broken wire leading to the ACC unit. All wires are brittle, in fact. I spliced into this, and put a new section in. The compressor works now, and air is ice cold.
I think I'm OK for now. But if you have a test plan, I'd definitely appreciate a forwarding for future reference! I'll send you a PM with my email info.
