wow, you think that he is intelligent? he is about as relevant as Rush Limbaugh in subjective credibility and he is far less popular. Remember, he got his start on SNL, not really a bastion of intelligentsia. I have met Al Franken in the 80s when we hosted a Franken & Davis show at my university. He was vapid and full of himself. He spent most of the show insulting our town and the south, then went on to break or injure his ankle jumping from the stage into the orchestra pit...he is about as smart as, umm, Janine Garafalo..
