Thankfully at work here i have 2 very seasoned electrical engineers that were more than happy to futz with this thing , we checked it out under a microscope and the solder joints look great. they mentioned too that the caps could be bad but after cleaning it and inspecting it i just threw it back into the car. it starts right up ofcourse but we will see if it dies again, i made a jumper for the pins that fits perfectly so all i gotta do is push it in and be done with it.
