Interesting.....

I just looked at a Mann filter I have in the garage. PN 1055/1x. It is made in Czech Republic.

I remember reading thorough an oil thread here... Or was it a fuel filter thread? I cannot remember? But, there is definitely a difference in the filters. I have a Cummins and CAT dealer near by. I'm curious if they would have anything to offer in the way of Donaldson or anything else. Maybe even a bypass setup with a CAT or Cummins (Fleetguard Stratopore) filter?

I'm a little new to the Mercedes. So, I'm still learning all this crap. The reason I went with Mann is because of all the labels under the hood. Hopefully it is a good decision.

There are some bad filters out there... I have seen them and I have seen the elements fall apart and get into the oil gallery. Not pretty $$$.
