There are a couple tests they do now that they didn't when you got your car smoggedlast time(seller did anyway). One is the Fuel evaporative functional test. This is the Gas tank vent valve connected to a Charcoal filter and then connected to the Vent hose from the passenger side Valve cover to the Air cleaner. I don't know what they did to your car to Federalize it, but there should be a CARB tag in the door jamb or on the radiator brace. That will tell you if you have EGR, Charcoal Cannister, etc. You should have the vent valve. A quick way to tell if the Gas tank vent valve is working is to remove the gas cap after the car is running for a bit and if there is a whoosh sound then the vent is working, if not that will have to be fixed and is usually a hole in the vent hose before the valve under the car. Easy $1.50 piece of hose and a couple clamps.
I tell you this from my experience trying to smog the Blue Bird.
Also take a copy of the Smog test(hope you got a copy of it with the car) and the smog guy will look at it and do the smog accordingly, but the Functional test is a new thing last year. Make sure you have no Gasoline leaks too. I remember you having one last time you posted I believe.
