Another thing to check is the boost line coming out of the back of the intake manifold. runs over to a black switch over valve on the firewall next to the brake booster. then over to the ALDA.

unscrew the banjo fitting at the intake manifold and clean out the soot and gunk with some spray brake clean. the line to the Switch over valve and the valve itself could be gunked also. Brake Clean and compressed air should work. place a rag to catch the mess blowing out.

There are 2 small washer on either side of the banjo fitting, careful not to drop them.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
