Yes, I have the potential and have acted on it in the past and probably will do so again in the future. Knowing that, what makes me or you more trustworthy than my dogs? In fact, I'd say it makes a person less trustworthy since the animal can be trusted NOT to do such unsavory things because it lacks the ability.
