The idler arm bushing was getting a little loose so I bought one to change it out.

I did it and all is fine, but I have a question. The bushing can be positioned anywhere on the locking idler arm. I measured it before I changed it.

But why is it "adjustable"? Why didn't Benz simply press the thing in?

Just curious.
