Agreed, and you should be able to find the loose/worn parts with normal inspection methods. Unload the ball joints properly and check for play. Feel all the tie rod ends. BMW's wear out bushings pretty fast, I just replaced the control arms and bushings in a friend's 2005 325ci. Easy job, not too much money for parts. The arms come with two ball joints each for their wacky multi-link suspension.
