Smell update:
my brother's neighbor placed 8 individual cups of vinegar and my brother's stinky socks all around the inside of the car, rolled up the windows and covered he car with a heavy black tarp, baked all day yesterday and this morning the death smell had mostly discipated!!! It still smells like a smoker was the owner but the smell is significantly less noticeable. I have no clue what was the cure; if it was the vnegar or the stinky socks or covering the car but something worked. That was only the first try. I am going back this afternoon with all my stinky socks and the activated charcoal that I picked up at walmart. Maybe a couple more times it will really be stink free!!! That is until I turn on the A/C system, that death smell has got to be in the system!

I was wondering about the DMV and the heart transplant. I have no intention of selling the car so I don't think I have to worry about teh DMV. so, if a total swap of a low mileage motor is better than a top end job then I think I should do that. That is unless, somebody has a better option. DOes anybody know if they have an overhaul kit for this engine?

My daughter is so excited the smell is going away and so am I!!
By the way, my brother's neighbor is a chef, go figure, a chef was able to get rid of the death smell.
