The Democrats may not be the smartest group of people ever assembled under one banner, but they are politically savvy enough to keep a bill like this from ever getting time on the floor. 80 million households have guns, almost half of the total. Enacting legislation that would negatively impact that number of people would be political suicide.

I just got that warning from a former legislator, and thought it was new. Apparently its just being used to encourage repubs to give $$ to the party coffers.
I do not own a gun, but I do not want every crimminal to know that. There is no sign posted at my house, " No Guns Here".
