Plasmas have really come down in price. When I bought my TV about 18 months ago LCD was MUCH cheaper. I got a 32" LCD for about $550, was a good deal at the time. I think Plasmas have better, brighter pictures with higher contrast, are heavier, and use more electricity. I'm GUESSING they have faster response time, which I guess is better for gaming, but I really don't know.
