ASR malfunction good luck

Unfortunately, a lot of ASR malfunctions are due to faulty wiring harnesses. The insulation on th eindividual wires inside the harness jacket turns to dust and then things jiggle a bit and 'bingo' you have a fault. A common fault is the Electronic Throttle Acutuators, and the real fault is the wiring harness on them.

Another one is 'EAC/CAN' communication failure-- which means the electronic accelerator computer is not communicating properly with the Car Area Network (CAN). The main wiring harness to the computer chest has coaxial cables for the comupter-to computer, and the internal foam insulation crumbles and a short results (and no signal flow) at a sharp bend where the cables enter the computer chest at the bottom.

Good luck
