I'm in love with the 240.

My first car was a 240 automatic. It was a slug but where I live is very rural so no need for me to stomp on the accelerator at a light and worry about being honked at. The car ran excellent right up until the day I put it away (because of rust issues).

I now have a 240d manual and it keeps up just fine in a city. I wouldn't call this one a slug at all. It cruises excellent on the interstates and its very economical. The best part is they are so easy to work on. Lots of space under the hood and everything is accessible.

I myself just found another 240 in great shape somewhat close to me that's on eBay. Call me crazy but I hope the price goes high on it so the temptation to buy goes away! I've driven 300s but the 240 is a great car. Maintain it and it will be your friend forever.
