The mirror surfaces are held onto the motors by a small springy wire at the top side.

You have to rotate the mirror down and back and forth until it's in a position where you can take a small jeweler's type screwdriver and release the wire from the tab (indicated by the red line). The wire will then rotate up and release the mirror surface.
