Work is all play when you involve driving your MB diesel..
Im making it thru a journey of a 2 1/2 hr drive to fix and paint a friends lake house .In the beginning I wasnt going to consider the job but after realizing the trip was too take us thru some of the best scenic parts of East Texas ,I eagerly took the job on. Pulling out on the open road in the morning is the best part of the day.The 2 300cds were geared up, packed and ready for the road like two Mules fully feed.Filled with paint supplies and sprayers we took out for the 2 day event .Passing thru some of the small towns we got alot of interesting looks ,it turns out utility can also have looks ,like a mule with lipstick. The Stretches of open road with slow rolling turns is an amazing drive. The site was a water front view of The Sam Rayburn reservoir ,some of the cleanest lake water Ive ever seen ,well visited by many a bass fisherman .A spectacular view from the lake house was something to visit while on break from some of the hot grueling work.As the 2 days past and we were beaten and tired ,the final task was the drive home. With the Mules packed up and ready to hit the road a quick swim was definately in line after the hard last day .Driving back was not your typical 9-5 commute.I just hope he requires another reason for us to make this road rally.
