There is acomputer that controlls kick-down & 4-5th shifting. Try having codes read from that module.

The 722.6 is fully electronic & needs signals from traction system & engine system & those systems didn't happen until 1997 on that car.

Would cost $$$$$$ more that swapping cars!!
