Thank you for coming up with something new. I get tired of the same old problems so it's nice to read about something weird, something good enough for Click and Clack.
So, this beep happens only when the headlight switch is in the parking light position? Turning on the lights also turns on all of the instrument lights including the ones in the power window switches. The power window switches are illuminated through an electronic relay, N40, the "Instrument Illumination Control Unit," which lives behind the instrument cluster. It should have nothing to do with the power windows themselves unless there is a short circuit in one of the switches. The "beep" or "buzz" that you are hearing from the driver's door could be the window motor. It would not get enough current to operate via N40 but might be able to buzz a little.
Since the front passenger window works, your power window relay K4 (in the fuse/relay box under the hood) would seem to be good. Please check your fuses, especially fuses G and H, which power the windows. Don't just look at the fuses, actually take them out of their holders, make sure they aren't cracked or corroded. Let us know what you find.
My schematics show special switch illumination wiring for "260E/300E/300TE only" and I can't quite figure out what is different.
