An update.......

1) No way in H E double hockey sticks this thang is going out through a door. It's 8+ feet square.

2) Darling Wife reminded me that Paul (guy in the house closest to ours - which used to be a dance hall, but that's a whole 'nother story) watched PO of our house build the room around the hot tub. In 2001. So it's a decade or so newer than I thought it was. I credit her youth for the far superior short term memory.

3) I have developed a greater interest in keeping the tub intact. Aforementioned youth of Darling Wife (and her totally wonderful sense of fun) just might have had something to do with this change of "heart."

So the focus shifts to picking a wall to carefully demo (removal of 3 windows, cedar paneling, & clapboard siding; temporary relocation of the electric; figuring out how to keep the roof from falling down when the studs are pulled, etc) and deciding how much can be/needs to be disassembled so that this monster can be moved.
