I'm thinking of marketing plastic bottles of air. Maybe if I can design a nice-looking label and a catchy TV commercial . . . .

It is pretty amazing. I think it's the notion that bottled water is cleaner & healthier than tap water that keeps the sales strong. But I have read about studies that showed bottled water is not as clean as people like to think, and in some places it's no better than tap water. I think the best solution is installing a water filter at home if tap water isn't satisfactory. And if one must drink bottled water (for safety or vanity reasons) I'd say use the big, refillable bottles rather than the disposable ones.
