here's my little spot on Mercedes parts...I say use the dealer for parts. My 1990 300TE needed a new star hood ornament because I was playing with the one that came with the car and the assembly came apart on me, because I'm an idiot. Anyway, I looked on the most outstanding World Wide Web and the least expensive replacement star was $35 plus shipping. I went to the closest Mercedes dealer and they had the part in stock for $30 ($32.48) with tax and then had a mechanic install it for me! So, as far as I am concerned, always look to the dealer first for virtually anything. The Internet sucks and anyone who believes that this is end of all means is sadly mistaken....beware so say I....
