No they dont. They actually burn Kerosene and can burn real jet fuel although no real need to pay the extra. I fly model planes and have had a chance to fly a plane with a gas turbine engine and let me tell you, they are fast. The one I flew was a buddies and his could reach speeds of 180+. It kinda hard to fly at that speed as I am not used to it. My planes top speed it about 80 or 90mph. Real fun hobbie, and great videos.
