IMHO, these kind of meets need to be casual, and non commital.
No pressure to bring food, commit to several hours, or other kinds of pressures.

Just show up for an undetermined amount of time, leave whenever you want, etc.

Needs to be early in the morning so it doesn't interfere with weekend plans, etc.
