OK, I got a WHITE coat hanger last night. I even measured the diameter with a micrometer, it was .078, or 1.98 mm. I made a tool and went at it.

No dice. Can not get both sides inserted with a 2 mm diameter tool. No way. Tried for hours.

Excellent MB indi right down the road from my house. Hell, he's even German as can be. He says "Ya, can be tricky, bring her down..we fix you up." Car is going to him this afternoon. I'm done.

I work on my Porsche, my son's 300ZX (now THERE is a real ***** to work on...) and the W124. First time any of them has beat me like this........
