What is being discussed in the threads on the different door seals is on the 2000 model year trucks, they redesigned the area on the front doors, which helps seal the front area (by the door hinges) better. This wouldn't be a benefit to you if the noise is from the rear door area. You may need to replace the rear door weatherstrip with a new one, or the door itself may need some adjustment.
