Let me comment from my experience working on these for both the dealer and a private firm. I have never seen a 617 engine get better than 27 mpg....ever. That's not to say that it isn't possible, but 22-25 mpg is what I have always seen.

I agree, yours is low and others have offered dome great suggestions. best of luck...Robert
