I'm afraid I concur, ... the US/DOT headlamps on the '86-'93 124s are abysmal. The plastic headlamps on my Wife's Ford or the plastic ones on my Daughter's Oldsmobuick are far better at night than my early 124s ever were, ... the worst headlamp I've had since my '85 quattro's US lamps.

Euro are so much better and safer, and look better. Too bad they're so expensive.
