Wow!

Hey Kerry, thanks; is this something that happened on this day August 7th in history or just simply something that you decide to post today, perhaps an epiphany of sorts? Just got back home from the Annual Solidarity with all Non-acknowledgers of God, Non-Protestants, and Atheists Paddlers Picnic? Or is it National Tell Everyone Something That Looks Bad About South Carolina Day again already, time does fly by!

QUOTE=kerry;2264820]Fundamental Carolina Constitution of 1669:
No one can be a freeman of Carolina without acknowledging God.
Constitution of South Carolina 1778:
Establishes Protestantism as the religion of the State.
Consitution of South Carolina 1868:
No atheists are permitted to hold office.[/QUOTE]

Got a link to the source of "Things I like to hate about America and Christianity" so we can get more of this good stuff?

Here are a few things that did happen on August 7th in years past:

1794 - President Washington issued a proclamation calling for those involved in the Whiskey Rebellion to return home. At the same time, he called for the militia to stop the rebellion.

1942 - The US landed forces on Guadalcanal during World War II.

1964 - Gulf of Tonkin resolution passes through Congress.
