I live in the second hottest place in the US, Palm Springs, CA. My 93 and 95 Benze's have adequate, not spectacular, AC systems. I make sure they are charged properly, the condensers are clean and the system works as designed. Up to 105F, they are adequate. From 105 to 117F they start to struggle. On the other hand, I have not been in any one else's car at these temps, so I have no comparison. But then one would have to compare another car of the same age, not a new one.
