First confirm you pulled on the lever under the light switch to get the hood to pop up a little. Right? Then if you grabbed onto the remainder of the hood release and nothing happened, fashion a wire coat hanger into a hook, using a flash light if necessary to see into the dark, reach in and tug on the hood hook near the opening the hood release usually sticks out.
