A keeper.

My experience - pretty much bulletproof. A 190D 2.2 with a 5-speed tranny can readily achieve over 40mpg. I think of it as the more modern equivalent of the 240D.

You won't win many drag races, but the pure simplicity of the drivetrain is enjoyable.

190's in general are prone to the same kinds of problems that plague other MB's. Climate control issues and power window problems are fairly common. Windows are easy to fix. Climate control issues are not usually so easy.
