A pre-heater before the injection pump sounds a lot like a LOVECRAFT system. Is that what you are running?  If so, your engine will soon die. In fact, on a single tank system, it will probably die either way....that is not the right way to run veg oil at all, it will be no where near hot enough. The IP circulates a few gallons of fuel a minute while driving....no way is that oil 160+F when it is injected to the engine.
