To the OP: You will be taking a hit for the color, which is not the most desired, (dark blues, reds, and blacks are best) but out here the cheapest ones go for $8-9,000, and they are NOT in top shape...

But with the provenance, low mileage and records, I think the low $20,000s to low $30,000s would be ballpark. I think into the $40,000s is over ambitious in this economy, frankly.

Spend $325 and get it professionally appraised.....for a good idea of its true market value. A good appraisal will have comps. too.

Best place to market it would be the SL Market letter, Robb report, the Mercedes Benz Club America magazine, where the TRULY serious money for truly good cars, spends.
