Thanks!!! It sounds like I can just purchase the spindle from a salvage yard then and buy a new strut and be good to go.

The front driver wheel angles inward from bottom up to the top when viewed from the front of the car very noticeably - maybe 15 degrees! So, I guess something must be bent (e.g. spindle and strut). The passenger side angles in as well but not nearly as much.
