My cousin is getting get a brand new 2010 Land Rover LR4 and wanted to visit my family in Mesa, Arizona and asked me if I knew if that would be okay for a new engine..

Is it okay for a new engine to have its first 1000 miles on the highway? I imagine it's better than city?
