it can be shaved, but their is limit before you start affecting timing, valve clearance and the prechamber height, as suggested. These things can be corrected with a thicker gasket, valve seat modifications and other shims.

If your shop doesn't know these tolerances, you probably don't want them working on this head. Chances are, they won't get the prechambers to seal up well.
