Maybe, but considering all the rusty US-market W123s I've seen & owned, I can't tell the difference!
My Euro TD wasn't nearly as rusty as my first two 240Ds.
These days, I try to avoid driving any of my diesels in the rain, and never drive them when there's snow, ice & salt on the roads.
