Boats use fuel like no tomorrow.....the biggest I'll ever get is an aluminum fishing boat with a diesel outboard.  Then I can pull it with my W126....
I know people with V8 gasser boats...and they use like a gallon to the mile.  Sometimes worse! When gas gets to 4-5-6-7 a gallon in the future, that will kill off such activities anyways. No way I'd spend $35 in fuel to travel 5 miles on the water.....that's just crazy.
