F*ck my FIL switched doctors after his heart surgery. He's 74. He went on Crestor, started experiencing joint pain. He also has type II diabetes so he was on drugs for that too. Anyway, doctor changed him out to Lipitor. He still had joint pain so doctor prescribed Neurontin. Still had joint pain, the cholesterol wasn't "normal" like the doc wanted so they upped his Lipitor. More pain, more Neurontin. The doc said the pain he as experiencing was a result of poor circulation because of diabetes.
Anyway while on all these meds he fell like three times because he just lost his balance. Doctor said it was because he was getting old. Fine. But my MIL had enough of it and since she didn't see any improvement she switched doctors again. Guess what? The joint pain wasn't because he was diabetic, it was mild arthritis from getting old! So they lowered his cholesterol meds. So his cholesterol was a little over 200, big deal. Let him have his Neurontin which he hasn't taken since his cholesterol meds were reduced, and now he can exercise again because he's not in pain and his blood sugar is way down.
What a f*ckin' douchebag of a doctor. I feel like punching him in the face.
