Wow! All I can say is , wow!
Diesel is injected at high pressure (up to 1,800 bar) giving a constant, even and complete combustion – and more miles per gallon.
Is 1800 bar even possible? That's like, umm, 26,000 p.s.i.! Yikes! I wonder how they a: manage to compress/pressurise the fuel and b: how they manage to inject it without blasting through the pistons? Talk about some critical timing issues! This is not an engine which would tolerate much wear.
