It isn't just the banker, insurance agent, dentist and doctor. It is people in general. People pretend to be your friend for 1 reason. It sells. There is an acronym that goes NILIF. Nothing In Life Is Free. Problem is people go around expecting something for free. Think about this. Why do I bother help my wife? Because she is good to me. IOW, there is a return. Why do I get my unwanted things to Goodwill or the Salvation Army? Because there is a return in the form of a Tax Write-off. There is only one reason why people won't throw you under the bus when the time comes. That reason is simply because they are chained to you and will get rolled over by the bus. That is the sad fact of life. The sooner we accept that, the less we get screwed by someone pretending to be your friend.
