I tried using sheet metal screws.The largest I was able to find were a #14.Not big enough,they went in but fit "loose" and wouldn't tighten down.Maybe I need to look for a metric size equivalent??
I think it should have hex head type screws.I went yesterday to a PNP yard where there had been a 450SLC .Unfortunately,it was no longer in the yard or I would have removed the shield and screws.
I doubt I'd find a 560SL in the PNP,but I might find a SEL.If they had a plastic rather than metal cover it at least wouldn't rattle and make racket.
That is worth checking out!!

My spouse is gone until tomorrow with the camera,but I'll try to get a photo of the shield for Mr panda ASAP
