Thank you for your help. i went outside and reset the light, but i had to stick metal, ie paper clip into one hole and the other end into another for the flashing to start. i got codes 11 and 16. i stuck the clip into hole numbers 1, 3, 6, 7, 14 (no activity on 14) and then i alternated them by bridging 6 and 3 1 and 3 and so on. as i ridged 7 and 1 (I think those 2) i heard a noise from the engine as if a flap or something was closing....not sure what that was all about, but when i went back into the car i saw that the are circulation button was flashing and i turned the car (or ignition off) and when i started the car the check engine light was gone. i did as u said and held down the button to erase the codes and i retried to see if i would get different codes, but after bridging the holes again and resetting the codes by holding down the button 10= seconds the light would only flash once. i looked up what the one flash meant and it said there were no more faults according to this link:

thank you again and hopefully this will help out someone else.....im gonna go drive the car now and see if its gone for good.
